breakfast room

So we’re mixing and matching. OK, not matching, just mixing. Ann hates matching.
We are attempting to blend our styles in an a room that started out very simple. Hooper doesn’t do simple, so we had to meet in the middle. According to the client, it needed to be "finished". Hooper loves a polished finish. Ann, loves a rough edge. As far as finishing things, Ann only finishes things in her mind because the ADD kicks in. Hooper, being the control freak that she is, trys to keep her on task. You won’t believe how it turns out...

For those of you who don't know us, Hooper likes shiny pretty objects.

Ann prefers rough, organic objects and wants to ground the space with an animal hide

HOLY COW. The perfect rug. Liberace meets Laura Ingalls

We need a simple sofa. No Ann, not another slip cover. How about white and tailored? Fab! We need pillows. Ann suggests Grain Sacks. They look great on this bench?? Hold up Annie May.

This made us both happy...J'taime.

We had a great time shopping and pulling it all together...

At the end of the day, the most important thing was to create an amazing space for the client.

Embroidery, burlap, steel, heart pine, nail heads, sea glass, metallic and linen. See... opposites DO attract

When it was all said and done, the client got to relax in her eclectic, yet very glamorous living room. Ann and Hooper got to go back to their very relaxing and glamorous lives (just kidding).

On the way home, Ann said, "What a great way to spend a Tuesday!" Hooper reminded her, "Ann, it's Wednesday..."

Bye, bye Birdie...
