Sneak Peak of my paint color etc.

Things are hopping around here. You know we have been doing some renovations in the kitchen and working away on the exterior. I can't wait to show you how it all turns out, but for now, I'll give you a sneak peak.
If you are wondering whether I went pink or gray... well, let's suffice it to say, I went with a custom color (that only took about $50 in paint samples). It has green, blue and yes, a medium gray. Thanks Ann for turning me on to "Winter's Day". She said she wanted to move on with her life so she gave me a color tip. I darkened it a little.

Check out what has been going on in the kitchen...
Sadly, we tore out the mirrored backsplash, but the glass cabinets were replaced with mirrors so Graham can check herself out everyday before school (for hours). When the granite came out, so did the backsplash. I replaced it with this.
I will never, never cheat on my tile supplier again. I love Southeastern Tile Connection. I go to them for everything. Here, I was trying to cut some costs and they didn't have an arabesque tile (at the time). I ordered "all" I needed from Overstock. Needed one more box, according to my tile guy, and when I went to order it (after 3/4 of tile was up and grouted), it was GONE. Yes, Gone. Everywhere. I called Merola (the manufacturer) and they had pulled it from every vendor because of some defects. They scoured the warehouse and found me what I needed in the warehouse. They are sending it to me for FREE. Things can turn around. Thanks a ton Merola!!!
I'll show you the rest of the kitchen when the tile is finished. Ann and I went on a very cool field trip today. Can't wait to share...
bye bye birdie...
