This past weekend, my mom and my daughter and I took a girl's trip to Chicago to help my (future) sister-in-law dress shop for a wedding dress. Since Graham and I watch "Say Yes to the Dress" quite frequently, we figured we would be experts.
We packed the weekend with great food, great company, shopping and sightseeing.
It was so great to spend time with my (baby) brother and my future sister-in-law.
I finished up the weekend with a visit to the Merchandise Mart.It is the 3rd largest building in the world and it is filled with nothing but design-- everything from tile, bath hardware, kitchens, fabrics, furniture, lighting... the list goes on and on. I was in heaven and snapped some inspiration to bring back. The Quadrille showroom had tons of Alan Campbell -- jumping off point for the next project? Perhaps. I loved this beauty.... May have to end up in my kitchen one day.Ann Sacks was like visiting an art gallery.The kitchens were unbelievable.
The weekend was a huge success...my brother's fiancé found the perfect dress, we lived it up in the windy city and when I arrived home, I found the twins clean, fed and tucked in bed. Thanks Read for holding down the fort! bye bye birdie...~h
