The Big Reveal - For Real

No more teasing. It's time for the big reveal! We can't wait to show you the project we have poured our hearts and souls into for the last year! We can't thank our dear client enough for asking us to be a part of this process. It has been an experience of a lifetime for which we will be forever grateful.

We are so happy with how it turned out and so thankful to Jen from Fotojenik who was gracious enough to come along for the ride (to keep us sane) and help us capture these spaces. 

The first stop I ever made in Cashier's was Buck's Coffee shop. I instantly fell in love with the wood paneling and the white-washed stain... so we copied it. We found these botanicals in London.(circa 1800) We of course, put them in Ikea frames. Ann masterfully hung them in the entry over rope and we love how they flank the Dutch door.

This is the view from the kitchen, looking into the dining room and behind that, the living room. 

I have wanted this galvanized topped table since we saw it at market years ago. I finally found a client that would let me get it! I love that it seats so many people and is basically indestructible with rustic charm.

Yep, it's metal.

The "goddess" chandelier hangs over the table and was a big jumping off point. I think it was one of the first things we ordered.

Another angle -- check out the beautiful wood work and don't you just love the cubbies? The client spent months scouring book stores to find colored books that we could group in the cubby built-ins. I love the unexpected pops of color.

We bought this console in London at an auction (for a steal) and love the rustic hardware and great storage it has to offer. Birch lamps are from Cyan Design and are so pretty in the space.

The client found this pillow much later in the design process -- doesn't it look like we designed the entire room around it?

Where to start. just take it all in. The chairs on the right are gray flannel (London score) and the one's on the left are the Gabby Dunlap chair.

We reupholstered the mattress style seat in coral velvet. Ann stalked these chairs for years and had a hard time not taking them home.

These little chairs crack us up. We will show you what they looked like before in a later post. They were hideous and the client found them in London for 2 pounds. Yep, about $4, for the PAIR. We begged her not to make us use them. She had a better vision than we did. The Oushak is from my favorite rug source, The Gallery of Oriental Rugs. We actually designed the space around this beauty.

We spent a lot of time here during the install. It hides a refrigerator (and lots of wine). 

Soundside Carpentry made the barn wood tops and floating shelves. You will see more of their work throughout the home.

Love the floating shelves -- we added them at the last minute and are so glad we did.

This gives you some perspective of the entire space from the kitchen looking in.

The driftwood mirror is another find from the London antique fair. 

We also scored lots of art while in London. We forced the antelope rug and had to pull the "just trust me" card. I adore it, don't you?

This copper table is from the same antique fair. Jolly good table with rivets. 

Cozy, huh?

We had the top of the Java coffee table by Noir upholstered. 

I'm sure you are wondering about the art over the mantle. The clients were married at St. Lawrence Basilica in Asheville, NC and this is a photo of the glass window above the sanctuary. We had it mounted on copper.

and while you are kicking back in the living room with a glass of wine, make sure you look out the window.... Isn't it spectacular?

We felt like the luckiest girls on the planet to work on this home and are so thankful to have been surrounded by an amazing group of architects, builders, craftsmen and talent. The design and building process were seamless and we learned so much from architects, Meyer, Greeson, Paullin and Benson and builder, Lupoli Construction.
